Your older Cessna Cardinal aircraft can be upgraded with a 3-Point Diagonal Shoulder Harnesses by incorporation of our "MINOR CHANGE" Installation Kit. The kit includes the necessary hardware items and instructions to complete the installation.

The installation of 3-Point Diagonal Shoulder Harness assemblies, using our "MINOR CHANGE" Installation Kit, does not require FAA approval; as the installation does not require that the airframe structure be modified by drilling or welding.

Authority for this type of installation is granted through  FAA Policy Statement  ACE-00-23.561-01; September 19, 2000.  As indicated in the statement excerpt, the installation is a minor change and requires that the installing airframe mechanic complete an airframe logbook entry documenting the change.

The "MINOR CHANGE" Installation Kit is required in addition to your choice of seat belt assemblies and is available for $20.00. The kit provides the hardware required for two pilot positions.
